Equal One Another
For the restaurant "De Witte Tafel" our group of four students was asked to create the evening of the holiday "Maundy Thursday". It was the day of Jesus' last supper. He had washed the feet of his apostels in order to demonstrate that there is no leadership and that everybody is equal.
I wanted to carry this thought over and arranged a symbolic feet washing and a hand washing setting at the entrance of the restaurant. So the guests could start their evening with a refreshing ritual and pour rose water over each others hands.
The jugs are shaped in this way that you need both hands to use them, so you can't do the ritual alone. You need to help each other.
The unglaced outside allows water traces to appear and fade away again.
